Solar Chargers are Here!

Solar chargers are here to stay and cannot be beat for their reliability and functionality.  Portable solar charges are smaller than previous chargers and their compactness makes them easy to take with you wherever you go.  They are wonderful for extending the life of 12v power systems that are found on boats, cars, motor homes, trucks and lawn mowers.  They can also be used for 24 and 48 volt DC systems if set up properly and this will help power your vacation home with electricity whenever you might need it.

Solar charging devices come in a variety of sizes and capabilities.  They range from the small trickle car solar unit to a unit that works magnificently in your large motor home.  All of these charging devices are pretty much maintenance free and are extremely user friendly so that even novice users love them.

The solar unit you buy is rated according to what it can do.  When a manufacturer rates the solar output of its products, it does so in watts.  The industry standard is that 15 watts gives 1 amp per hour in direct sunlight.  And, the solar output is stored in a battery, which also acts as a filter so that sensitive electronics are not damaged.  The amount of wattage determines what that particular model can support.

Portable solar units are becoming more and more popular as people continue to acquire numerous mobile devices like cell phones and iPods.  As society becomes more dependent on electronics, there will be a greater demand for solar energy to power their electronic devices.  For example, digital cameras have replaced the traditional film camera and they need a reliable power source to keep working.  Today’s active society wants to have something available with them at all times so that they can power up their equipment when there is no other source of electricity.  They don’t want to miss anything when they’re away from home!

Solar chargers are becoming more and more popular as society continues to rely on electronic devices in their daily lives.  These charges provide a way for people to have access to their electronic equipment whenever they need it.  And, oftentimes they need it in a location far away from any reliable power source.
